DNC 2017/18
To try and make best use of the darker nights, the DNC will start and finish a bit earlier again this year and includes an event in between Christmas and New Year to keep the momentum going. Two courses 3km and 5km at TD5/Green standard as far as possible. No concessions to the dark.

Bring a spare torch/battery and wrap up warm or waterproof as appropriate.

If you’re not yet TD5 (Green) standard then please find someone who is to run with the first couple of times so you can pick up tips on Night O navigation strategy.

Parking on Wednesday will be in the Shooting Greens car park. Registration from 17:45. Last start at 19:00 and courses close at 20:30. 400m from registration to the Start. Two courses: Medium (3.9km, 9 controls) and Long (4.8km, 12 controls). The medium is a bit longer than usual but includes some fast trail mid-course. Other curiosities can be explained at registration.
Countesswells on Wednesday has 2 Courses available:
Short 3.4k (7 controls) and Long 5.2k (12 controls)

Parking and Registration will be in the Forestry car park, OS Grid Ref: NJ 869 045 – Parking charges apply.
Approx 1k walk to start to enable best use of the area – Short Course finish will have a 1k walk out to download.
Please note all Fields & houses are out of bounds.
